Makiba

Since 2006 Makiba is expert in industrial applications of adhesive bonding technology.

Once started to support the petro-chemical industry in adhesive bonding projects; nowadays Makiba performs training courses and audits worldwide in all industrial sectors. The activities in the Netherlands and Belgium, are the responsibility of daughter company Lijmacademie; a well equiped laboratory in destructive testing & accelerated aging. The laboratory is approved by European Welding Federation for certified trainingcourses in adhesive bonding technology. Additionally, Makiba is directly involved in EAB & EAS courses and EN 17460 and ISO 21368 audits worldwide.

Case study 30: Comparison aging MMA, 2C EP and 1C EP

Client: None (internal project)
Adhesive: Two types MMA, two types 2C Epoxy (80 °C) and one type 1C Epoxy (180 °C)
Substrates: Aluminium-aluminium - Corund grind / MEK Ultrasoon cleaning
Year: 2014
Results: Aging during 0, 14 and 28 days with cycles 5 hour +/+80 °C >90% RH and 5 hour -/-40 °CSpecial:
