Hogeschool Rotterdam and Lijmacademie decided to cooperate in further development of the adhesive bonding laboratory at RDM Campus Rotterdam. This laboratory will become the second training facility of Lijmacademie, next to the existing training and test center at Gate2 in Gilze Rijen.
Lijmacademie will conduct European recognized adhesive training courses with Hogeschool Rotterdam at RDM Campus. The adhesive laboratory at RDM Campus will be designated as Lijmacademie's second training location, alongside the existing location at Gate2 in Gilze Rijen, both part of the EWF/NIL certificate as Authorized Training Body.
Hogeschool Rotterdam gains knowledge and recognition through this cooperation, with the added opportunity to create connections between students and industrial research questions.
For Lijmacademie, this cooperation offers the opportunity to expand training capacity while simultaneously providing an entry point for introducing knowledge transfer in industrial adhesive techniques in regular education. It also expects to conduct industrial research projects with MBO and HBO students in the near future.
The first European Adhesive Bonder training course will be conducted in Rotterdam this fall.
