The previous news item about DIN 6701 does not adequately reflect the progress made regarding flexible adhesives, also known as caulks or sealants in the construction and civil engineering sectors. We are familiar with ISO 11600 regarding "performance specifications of sealants" and BS 6213 regarding selection of sealants for the construction and civil engineering sector. The BASA (British Adhesives & Sealants Association) has compiled two helpful guides on this subject; one on BS 6213 and one on professional application of sealants at construction sites.
