This morning, former State Secretary of Defense Jack de Vries gave a presentation to breakfast-time entrepreneurs in the municipality of Moerdijk. In a clear discourse on voter behavior linked to employment, De Vries then moved on to the current budget cuts within Defense.
In Brabant, where approximately 1/3 of Dutch Defense personnel work, this could have major consequences. The request is therefore to Brabant entrepreneurs to help Defense personnel find new jobs, with De Vries emphasizing the quality and discipline of people who have worked at Defense.
Regarding developments in education, he emphasizes the concept of "discipline" alongside the subject of "craftsmanship" in the same vein. An interesting thought; to try to bring this concept back onto the agenda of educational Netherlands.
