The construction and development of the new adhesive laboratory in Gilze Rijen is progressing rapidly. The setup gives considerable attention to the intended use of the adhesive laboratory:
- Practical training and practical exams for groups of participants in European certified adhesive training programs and additional industry- and company-specific adhesive courses and training, - Creating adhesive bonds and subsequently performing destructive testing of these adhesive joints for industrial applications, - Performing aging tests on adhesive bonds, - Testing and evaluating different adhesive types for application and durability, and - Performing qualified adhesive bonds for industrial use.
The adhesive laboratory is considering obtaining the following certifications:
- Suitable practical training facility for authorized adhesive training institutes - Quality management system ISO 9001 - DIN 6701-2 level A1 for performing the most critical adhesive bonds The current cooperation partners in Adhesive Academy; Makiba, Mikrocentrum, MidpointBrabant, MATinspired and Rycobel would like to get in contact with other interested parties. The legal entity (B.V.) is expected to be established shortly after summer. Subsequently, we aim to be operational by the end of 2013.
