Today, at the invitation of Federatie Metaalplaat, I attended a successful meeting with the theme Sustainable Bonding. A great program with chair Frederik de Wit and presentations from Ruud de Block of SABA (discourse on water-based adhesive types), John Vissers of Nordson (sustainability regarding operational aspects of the bonding process) and Angelique Scholliers of 3M (what you as an adhesive manufacturer can do with sustainability in mind).
Finally, the morning concluded with a practical case study from the company Ulamo from Ulft. It involved a project on fastening steel to steel in large-scale production. Based on suggestions from attendees, the use of a 1k Epoxy reactive hotmelt is being considered.
All in all, a well-spent morning for about forty attendees. Looking forward to the next event.
